Agents passing you from pillar to post and using excuses to get you off the line as quickly as possible

I was contacted in October 2025 to offer me a migration on my 1 contract, during this call i did inform the agent to leave the line as an open line due to it being used for work purposes. Migration took effect in November 2025, did not notice anything at the time as i did not use up the minutes, in December 2025 during a call, it just cut off and did not allow me to call as it stated i need to recharge, baffled as this is suppose to be an open line.

I then called earlier today and spent 30 minutes with an agent telling me she can't assist me as the account is in arrears to which i have an arrangement to have paid up at month end, she then tells me i should speak to the accounts department as they can resolve this issue and re-activate the line to be an open line again with the current package it is on. I called the accounts department only to be told once again they cannot assist me as the account is in arrears and i should call the customer care number(which i did and spebt 30min with) as they need to resolve this issue and also provide me with the answer as to why the line was changed at the migration call even after stating it should not be changed.

It seems that the agents looked for the easiest excuse to try and get me off the line instead of actually fixing an error caused by a vodacom agent whom handled the migration call.

I also do not understand why vodacom is also still letting me receive calls to offer migrations on my contracts as i informed them earlier this year to remove my number from these calls as these migrations has ended up in me paying close to R500 extra where promises was made that i will be saving an average of R200 to R300 together on my total packages of 3 contracts.

Now once again a migration package offer which i took and clearly stated to the agent not to change the line as the open line help me to continue my work even if the minutes run out and i am left with the frustration to get this resolved with agents who just seem to not wanting to help at all.

Reviewer Update
At this time 14:25 today 30/12/2025 still no call received from an agent trying to resolve this matter, it seems that there is a zero care in the world for vodacom as possibly most of the agents are already on the train for new years and holiday.
