After almost 25 years, I'm done with VODACOM.

Yet again, Vodacom.

Please cancel all my contracts with Vodacom with immediate effect as I do not wish to continue using Vodacom as a service provider. It's funny how every time I get onto Hellopeter, the review I write is related to service delivery from Vodacom or one of its affiliates and it takes a while for me to get this ****ed off with anyone.

I've had repeated issues with you and for that, I'm done dealing with you. I'm also done paying and have arranged for stops on any payments to Vodacom and reversals of any payments that may go off.

I have spoken to consultants twice (11:19 am, 13th February 2025; 08:13 am,26th February 2025) to request cancellation of 2 contracts, sent 4 emails to Vodacom Cancellations to query cancellation of 2 contracts (10/03/2025, 14/03/2025, 01/04/2025, 10/04/2025) and rep**** twice in the past week to *** that have sent emails to demand payment of outstanding bill else services will be suspended, with details of why payment was stopped.

Incidentally, cancellation of these products have been requested since March 2023, when I was told the contracts had been amended to a new product because the previous product was discontinued. The contract expiry was changed to April 2024. In March 2024, when I requested cancellation of these contracts, I was informed that the contracts' expiries was April 2025. I wonder what the excuse will be this time.

I have yet to receive any response from Vodacom. It amuses me that I'm just a phone call away daily or even multiple times a day when you're marketing something.

By the way, my service has been suspended but I'm not sure since when this was the case. I'm still receiving calls, mostly spam, but I can't make any calls which is just fine because I hardly ever do anyway. It makes me wonder if I actually need the service. Also note that Vodacom owes me well over 2000 minutes that I've never used since I've already paid for that time.

I think as a client of Vodacom for almost 25 years, I’ve been patient enough.

My next escalation within the day is ICASA.

Thanks Zaheer

Hi there

Aside from the reminders for payment and the threat of hand over to the credit bureau, I haven't received any responses to my emails.

Please elaborate on your failed attempts at contact. When I do receive one, I'll expect that all my products have been cancelled since I have no desire to continue my relationship with Vodacom.

Thanks

Hi there

Note that my number was suspended and after a day or two, I found no need to have my phone with me. I am still able to communicate with all my contacts via Whatsapp on my computer without issue so there is hardly a need for a device which resides now on my bedside table.

I have requested email communication and responded several times to subscriber collections since posting this review. Thus far, no response to any attempts. Is there a reason for this.

By the way, the contracts I initially requested cancellation of in February are still active. Is there a reason that cancellations hasn't actioned this? These are the contracts I've been requesting cancellation of since 2023.

You have my email address. I await your response ON E-MAIL unless there is a reason this isn't appropriate.

Thanks

Nothing yet...but still being billed. So now I shall be 'promoting' Vodacom in the public space based on my experiences with the brand.
