I am with Vodacom for over 10 years now. Every month my Debit Orde goes off on the first of the month.

There are 4 X Cell phone contracts and 1 data contract. The total of app. R1750

1st of Septembe 2016 I did not top up the account due to personal problems and the debit order returned to Vodacom. The next day I went to the nearest Vodacom branch ( Vodashop Centurion Mall - Alisom) to pay the account, while I was there I took out a new data contract of R250. That was at the 4th of September.

My monthly account were up to date now, and in 48 hours the first installment for the new contract should have gone off. In the next 2 days the R250 wents off 4 X from my bank account, and I went into FNB and let them write back 3 of the 4 installments, because I need to pay 1 installment upfront for September. Then at the end of September the R250 will be added to my current monthly account of R1750. In other words my Vodacom account should not exceed R2000.

However, since I took out the new contract, my problems with Vodacom start. They phone every our on all 4 phones to tell you that you OWE them the 3 X R250 installments that FNB wrote back for us. You are also not able to talk to them, because it is just a machine that tells you that you owe the money. A visit to Vodaworld was very frustrating, because they even could not find the June Installment!!!

I went to Vodashop Centurion Mall - Alisom. There I spoke to Reza who was very helpful and help me phone the cancellation department. There I spoke to Oupa who told me not to cancel my whole Vodacom account, but to phone the Accounts Department and asked them to cancel just my Debit order, because I cannot find anybody who is able to rectify my account.

Accounts Department: Siphuxolo answer the phone and let me hold the line for 10 minutes while he studied the account, he then transferred me to Lebogang. She eventually understood the problem and was very helpful and promised me a credit note for the addisional charges as well as the immediate stop of the annoying phone calls. Thanks Lebogang!!

If this situation still continue tomorrow, what should I do? Cancel my total R2000 contract with Vodacom.

Go the the Consumer Council? Please assist?
