Accounts enquiry

On June 2018, I activated a new contract with Vodacom, provided all details required including banking details for debiting. Around August/September I called them confirming debit orders and all was well, even monthly statements and invoices proved that I was on track with payments. After receiving invoices to December stating an up to date account, a shock came January, my account is in arrears of about R1900. I called the customer service for assistance, was transferred to 4 different divisions with neither in a position to give me an explanation of what was happening.

The last response: 1. The lady assisting admitted to not understanding herself what was happening because from her side, my account is up to date however she will log a query which will take 7 days to investigate. 2. My account will not be debited until then because it shows that I am on cash mode payment option. "The system automatically kicks one out when account is in arrears yet I am receiving statement and invoices stating none of that.

Now my name is with collection people/lawyers, I am receiving annoying calls requesting their money,,,I am just annoyed in overall because this might end up tarnishing my credit scores and yet Vodacom is giving me stories that make `0 sense.

Seven days is a long time, I need answers. If it means returning their goods, so be it...
