Account Suspension ***

Dear Vodacom On the 22nd November, at 10:05 I received a SMS stating the following: Vodacom Alert: Unusually high usage has been detected on your cellular number exceeding R10763.40. Contact ********** urgently to discuss the usage on your line or 082155 for data enquiries. On calling ********** I was told that this was the incorrect number to call, I eventually hung up as we were making no progress. I called the 2nd number only to be told that yes the account was high and I could only query this on the 30th. For detailed transcript please check the voice recording relating to ********** 47. At 10:30 I received a 2nd SMS informing me that a calls bar has been activated. I cannot make calls, send SMS and data has been stopped. According to the Vodacom app, I have 569.91 megs of data available, 573m25s of voice minutes and 1186 SMS available. My account is not in arrears. I have not contacted your support centre in fear of getting hold of someone once again that cannot assist me. As a matter of urgency can you please remove the blocking on my account and supply me with a detailed description as the high data usage. I did explain to your agent that I was overseas and returned on the 17th November, data was switched on for short periods of time but defiantly not enough to incur such a high bill. How is it possible that you only alerted me 6 days after I returned and not when the account had reached R4000.00?

Regards Jon

After calling 082155 speaking to 3 different people, nobody was willing to actually give me a reference number. 082155 told me to speak to Accounts to get a reference number Thapelo Masemola told me I have to speak to Customer Care. WOW looks like nobody in Vodacom can actually assist me.
