Account Payments

In April of this year i had a case of ***** on my bank account where my money was removed. A debit order to Vodacom bounced and i immediately contacted Vodacom to request a redebit.

After being bounced around from department to department i was informed that the amount owed will be re debited within 3 - 4 days. It never was. Instead, i received a voice automated call the following week on which i was to choose a day i prefered this amount to be redebited. I chose 16 April 2017. No debit order was done on this date,

Following this date i received yet another voice automated call requesting a new date to be redebited, once again. I resubmitted the new date. 2 days later the amount was debited from my account.

Another 2 days after that my vodacom account fee was debited from my account, again. This second amount was not supposed to be debited from my accout and therefore, because i had not made the arrangements to have this amount debited AGAIN, this amount bounced.

My May 2017 debit order payment never went off and i was not notified of this. I received an SMS (9 MAY 2017) from vodacom telling me that my account was in arrears and i am to pay this amount immidiately.

Once again, I call vodacom immidiately and after another long run around from department to department i eventually get put through to a young gentleman who informed me that the second debit order the previous month was the fault of Vodacom however "I must just pay the bounce fees and theres nothing that Vodacom can do about it" too bad for me.

I was never once informed that my debit order had somehow been cancelled.

I was given an incorrect account number of which i was to use as reference for my EFT payment to Vodacom for my now outstanding amount. I made the payment the same day.

Today, 16 May 2017, i receive yet another SMS from Vodacom stating that my account is in areers and i am to make payment immidiately. Once again, I make the call to vodacom to find out what was going on. Only today was i informed that i had deposited the amount owed into the wrong Vodacom account and it will take a further 48 hours to be reprocessed as well as a further fee of which i am to pay for this mistake. Provided this attempt is actually successful.

Vodacom has taken absolutely no accountability for my 2 month long struggle to get just 1 payment right! My credit record is now damaged because of this and i am still to owe these exta fees to vodacom because of your customer cares incompetence on this regard.

As a loyal customer of 5 years+ I have no faith in Vodacom anymore and will definately be moving to another service provider in the future.
