Account in arrears after cancellation and cancellation fee was paid
I have received a call from one of their consultants stating that my account is in arrears which I do not understand.
On 05 September 2018 I called Vodacom and cancelled my contract. An email was send to me with the relevant cancellation fee which I paid on the same date ad emailed the proof of payment back to Vodacom.
Clearly on the statement it shows my account balance was 0.00, if there were a balance it should have been added with the relevant cancellation fee.
On the 01st of October 2018 a debit order went off of my account (this was ******* as I cancelled and already paid the cancellation fee) and I reversed the debit order.
The consultant on the phone explained to me that my account were in arrears?? How is this possible as since from the beginning of my first contract with Vodacom I’ve been paying via debit order and on the cancellation quotation its shows I have no arrears (which I could not have since I have been paying via debit order).
The consultant stated that she will send me a statement which I have not received yet.
After the phone call I received an sms stating that a payment arrangement was captured of which I refuse to make any payment since I have paid the cancellation fee, why would I make a payment arrangement?
This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable from a Company like Vodacom and I will dispute any arrears as I paid my cancellation fee as per the quotation that was forwarded to me.
