Absolutely Dishonest and Disgusting Behaviour and Treatment
I am desperate now to find a senior manager to meet with me regarding my newly renewed phone contract. I'm sorry to threaten but if I don't get help soon, I'll name names!! Went to Northgate branch a number of weeks ago to renew my contract. Worked with a seemingly very polite and informed consultant. Asked for the best package I could get with my existing benefits around the same cost as I can't afford much more. Settled for R559 p.m. for both my numbers which have always been on the same package. Left feeling satisfied. Got home and realised I didn't get a copy of my contract. Then I received an invoice for September for over R700 and then the drama began. Called Vodacom and spoke to someone who was going to investigate. Then got a call from another consultant saying can't help you have to go back to Northgate which I did. Spoke to a young consultant there who said he would speak to the original person and call me on Saturday morning. Never did. Went in again the following week and spoke to same person. Had clearly not done anything and called over the manager, who if I had my way would be fired instantly. From then on I worked only with this person who said my contract was only for one number and the cost of the second one had been increased. Would get hold of head office and see what could be done. Also going to contact me and and, and never did. I had to follow up. This is what he came back with which he said he had arranged with HO .... big lie!!!!! If I could pay the now R638 p.m. the company would give me a refund of R24 months x the difference between R638 and R559 in one up front payment. By this time he had spoken to the original consultant. I have this discussion on whatsapp. This all took so long my debit order for September went through for the R700+. I had also found out that the store was closing for renovations till late September. The final straw was when I was contacted last Sunday asking me to come in as the store was closing that day. The short version of that day .... no document to sign except an acceptance of R2000 cash which I signed, only to find that the consultant had been told by the manager to draw the money from his personal account and he would be refunded. The store manager also then got involved and other than identify the problem did nothing further to help as she was packing up the store. The manager who had been doing all the ducking and diving just disappeared and I was left with the original consultant. I still have the R2000 as I do not believe that anything done was ethical and I feel bad about the person who had to pay it. I dont know where to turn or what to do next, but if I am not contacted ASAP I will write another review with the names of everyone involved.
