Absolutely Disgraceful Service – Vodacom, Fix Your Porting Issues!

To Whom It May Concern at Vodacom,

I am beyond frustrated, disappointed, and outright disgusted by the shocking service I’ve received from your company. Let me break it down:

Two weeks ago, I cancelled my MTN contract and moved to MTN Pay-As-You-Go before porting my number to Vodacom. Since the moment MTN cancelled my contract, I’ve been unable to receive calls from MTN numbers. Initially, I chalked it up to the transition process. However, once my number was fully ported to Vodacom, the problem persisted.

Let me emphasize: I STILL CANNOT RECEIVE CALLS FROM MTN NUMBERS. This is not just an inconvenience; it’s a critical issue. My wife and elderly mother—both MTN users—cannot reach me. Imagine the potential emergency situations this could create!

I tried taking this up with MTN, only to be told that this is now Vodacom's problem since my number is no longer in their system. Fair enough—except Vodacom has proven to be utterly useless in resolving this.

I’ve made countless phone calls to Vodacom’s support center, wasting hours of my life. I’ve sat in your store for hours, only to leave with empty promises. I’ve been given reference numbers galore—and yet, no solution. I’ve been fed false hope repeatedly with claims that the issue would be resolved. A simple Google search reveals that this is a common issue with Vodacom porting MTN numbers, yet your company seems incapable of resolving it. How can a major telecommunications company fail so miserably at something so basic?

I am fed up with Vodacom, and I haven’t even properly started with your network yet! Your incompetence has caused unnecessary stress and made me regret switching to Vodacom altogether.

Your customers deserve better. It’s time to step up and act like the reputable company you claim to be.
