A WEEK OF HELL

I’m so appalled by the service I am receiving from Vodacom. Tomorrow it will be a full week that i have gone through absolute hell trying to get any help whatsoever from anyone at Vodacom

My phone got lost on thursday (3NOV) and I called in for the first time to block my SIM card to prevent misuse of it. Big mistake. I wish i hadn't tried to secure my personal information(i am being sarcastic)because it cost me a week of being cut off from the world.

I did a SIM swop on Friday(4NOV) and I still had no service by Sunday (6NOV), which i understood was because of the 48 hour waiting period after a SIM swop.

CAll no.2 was on Sunday. Asking for assistance as to why my phone was still not able to make or receive calls. I held for about 45 minutes and spoke to about 3 consultants, only to be told that the IT department (which apparently is the ONLY people who could assist) knocks off at 5:00 and no one else has any access or answers to my dillema.

Apparently the problem is with a sales order that was still open (barring after it has been locked). Today is Wednesday (9NOV).It still has not been resolved.

I’ve spoken to over 30 different consultants in the past four days. Is this normal??

Of these consultants, most had no advice but to urge me to be patient and apologising for being totally ***********.

Further, my calls/query has “apparently” been logged 6 times, escalated 5 times, sent to the Back office 3times , sent to the administrators, etc.

Every time I phone in there is a different story with a different excuse why I cannot be assisted immediately.

Even after i could recite all the answers to the security questions without even being asked, (which you can do after about the first ten times you call in) the agents still insist on asking a few more and wasting my time (apparently I'm volunteering my information, stupid me, i thought i was saving time)

Once again Monday morning I have called in to check on any progress as the consultant I spoke to on Monday night promised that my problem would be resolved before I had to go to work as it is a priority case since I’ve been waiting for so long. Unfortunately, out of all the call centre agents, not one had the decency to phone me back. Still no news whatsoever.

I called again yesterday, only to find out I cannot be transferred to the solutions department as there is some or other internal issue. Not only was the agent rude (which is the least of my problems) but did not even bother to take my number or ask if she could phone me back. I was TOLD to wait an hour and phone in again from my side. Probably hoping that I would get through to another agent so that she would not have to speak to me ever again or to take a nice time out and have lunch.

I do not understand how you can treat your customers like this. I need my phone for work but most importantly to get through the gate at my complex in order to get into my house. Are you not concerned that a customer needs to sit outside on the street at night because of your utter negligence and issues on your side. Why is this my problem? Should I climb the gate like a ******** to het into my own home? Must i leave my car parked outside , ready to be ****** throughout the night? Or should i sleep outside so that i can go to work on time and not lose my job? Is vodacom going to cover these losses? Do they care? it seems not.

I have never in my life experienced such poor service. I do not know if Vodacom doesn't train their consultants properly or if they are short staffed on people that can actually take some initiative or the have the least bit of pride in their jobs.

After the drama of losing a phone, this is how they treat people and expect you to sign a new contract?

It is an absolute disgrace
