A total ******* by vodacom and its repairs agancie
In July 2015, we handed in an iPhone for screen replacement at Vodacom Repairs Centre, Polokwane. The iPhone in question had no issues except for the cracked screen, despite it having been in use for almost 3 to 4 years. The repairs shop quoted us R2400 for screen replacement, which we accepted. A month later, we were provided with an exchange unit rather than us getting the same phone back with a replaced screen. The exchange unit apparently carried a 3 months warranty - something we got to know in January 2016 when the exchange unit malfunctioned. Please note... The exchange unit was provided to us in Aug, and in Jan (first week to be specific), the exchange unit malfunctioned. Once again, we got quoted R2400 to attend to the malfunctioning exchange unit. What a rip-off... this quoted amount we refuse to accept, and demanded that the original phone rather be returned. The query was submitted via email to [Email Removed] 12/01/2016 and on 14/01/2016 acknowledgement email was sent back to us... As at today, it has been more than 7 days since the acknowledgement email, but noting tangible has come through... How terrible! Can someone do something please!! <br>
