A HORRIBLE Vodacom experience

I have been a Vodacom customer for more than 10 years. They used to be great!! Now, they've turned into a HUGE money making machine, forgetting about their customers, not caring about their customers, false advertising ....as long as they make money in the process!

Here's my story: I waited patiently for Black Friday (24 November 2017) to upgrade. I made time to upgrade online in the morning as to not miss out on any deals. I spent a couple of hours looking at the options and then decided on the LG G6 with a 28" Monitor (including 600mins and 1Gig) and upgraded. My upgrade was followed by an email with a reference number stating that my order has been received and I'll be phoned shortly by a Vodacom Customer Care agent. This didn't happen. My husband decided to speak to an agent on their 'online Vodacom chat'. He spoke to Mike Ngwenya to ask him when our phones should arrive (as he upgraded as well). Mike rep**** and said he couldn't see any upgrades on either our accounts and proceeded to phone us (this all happened on Black Friday). Just for the record....Mike Ngwenya was really helpful! He is an asset to Vodacom!

Mike Ngwenya phoned me at 20:00 the evening of Black Friday (from telephone number + 2 ********** ). He told me that the deal I ordered was 'sold out' and that my reference number doesn't exist, and that I would have to choose a different option. I refused as at the time of my order 41 of the LG deals were still available. Unfortunately, Mike couldn't help me, so I resorted to emailing the CEO(or so I'm told) of Vodacom (Mr Pieter Coetsee), who in turn asked an Executive Client Liaison Officer (Boitumelo Nhlapo) to resolve my request. This never happened! Boitumelo emailed me a couple of times, said that the deal I ordered online 'has never been advertised', despite me having the email from them and despite them recording every phonecall. I reminded them of this, to which they phoned, apologised and said they would 'open the deal for me'. Two and a half months have passed. I have emailed the CEO once again on the 8th of January 2018 requesting his assistance....no response as yet.

I am utterly disappointed in Vodacom! I will no longer support you!!!

Good day

We are sorry to hear of the circumstances under which your Hellopeter posting has reached us and we do apologise for the inconvenience caused. We thank you for bringing the matter to our attention. We regrettably advise as per the Terms and Conditions, the deals are valid while stocks last. All Black Friday deals are no longer available.

I have however requested the CEO office to follow up and feedback after your contact with their office.

Thank you for your patronage.

Regards

Moddy
