In April 2016, I complained on Vodacom's Facebook page twice because I had requested data bundles through USSD code, which even after confirmation of the request being processed, were not loaded. I then received feedback from Vodacom that they had technical difficulties and they were battling to load the said bundles.

After being charged more than R1900 for out of bundle data usage, I then again communicated another complaint. This made no sense for me to charged such, when the issue was acknowledged as an issue on the company's side.

I then spoke to a Lance, who told me I needed to pay the full bill because they couldn't reverse what was already invoiced and then only afterwards Vodacom would pass a credit note for two things:

1. A month to month bundle that was loaded on my account without my request.

2. The out of bundle charges I was charged during the time they couldn't load the bundles.

I found this to be ludicrous as I was expected to pay for Vodacom not being able to deliver a service as they should have. I therefore only paid through what was rightfully due to them.

I am not being harrassed with sms's about an account that's overdue, and when I check, it is because the so called credit note for the out of bundle data charges were never reversed as Lance said they would.

As a loyal customer of Vodacom, having been with the company for over 8 years, a fully paid up accoutn in all that time, I find it disturbing that this is how I am treated. The fact that in the past 4 years, not a single year has gone by where I don't have to complain about something or the other, it leaves me wondering why I continue to have a contract with the provider.

Please can this be sorted and the harrassment haulted. It really leaves a sour taste when I've been nothing but a good customer for so long.

The irony in all this is when on the same day you get an sms harrassing you for payment, yet get a call from another Vodacom agent, wanting to offer you some or other service because of your great profile as a loyal customer. Make up your minds.

Although the company has not responded on this platform, it is imperative that I report that they were very quick to call me and address the situation.
I'd like to thank Luigi who called me, was very polite, took his time to understand the background of the problem and offer a solution that suited both parties. Not long after that, I also received an sms confirming the credit note that he promised would be processed.
Great client service from him.
Thank you Luigi.
