A company who has NO IDEA about customer service or even whats going on in their business.

In November 2013, i took out a Vodacom cell phone contract through my company (We are a Vodacom business partner and get "discounted rates") but in my name whereby I would be responsible for all payment on the account.

The 1st issue started when they sent me the wrong sim card to go into my phone.

The next issue was getting the sim swap right and the new sim card activated when they sent me the correct size sim card.Apparently because the account was in the company's name (which isnt what i was told when taking the contract out) i had to get an official letter on a company letterhead giving me the go ahead to do the sim swap...

Then I requested that my statements were to be posted to my home address. When they couldnt get that right after nearly a year, I then requested my statements to be emailed to me every month which to day i can count on my 1 hand the amount of statements i have recieved during the nearly 3 years i have been a customer of theirs.

Then there was the disappearence of my data. I have on numerous occasions had to buy additional data to get me through the month. In April this year infact, my phone was locked on the 3rd...HOW DOES nearly 2GB of data get consumed in 3 days when I am connected to WIFI all day at work and then when i get home??? Now, most people would say that i would need to monitor my usage and i did. I did an experiment whereby i only went onto social media from my notebook for an entire month and i still ran through my data and into my soft lock buffer.

I then called the Vodacom call centre and explained my situation to the consultant. She told me to switch my cellular data off and she would investigate and get her manager to call me.

Later that day, he did infact call me (to my shock and horror) where he told me that he could see where my data had gone. I then asked him to send me a report or atleast the report that he was looking at. I gave him my email address and i never heard from him again nor did i ever recieve the report...

Last month, i was billed R1852.00 which is WAAAAAAY past my soft lock amount and when i called to query it this morning as well as the latest disappearence of my data, (i should have called last month however it slipped my mind due to work commitments where i tend to look after my customers) i was told that the R1200 of the R1852.00 was for excess data usage....The consultant was rude and completely unhelpful with a ****y remark and comment for every issue raised...

I can tell you now that this weekend i will be cancelling my contract and going with another service provider because unfortunately Vodacom is not the customer centric and reliable network it used to be...
