75% of contract value as penalty for cancelling voice contract
I have a voice contract with Vodacom that excludes a device - so sim contract. The conctract is due another 23months at a cost of R109 where I will receive R125 airtime. When I called to cancel Vodacom wants to charge a 75% penalty fee of the contract value?
I am not against the principle of a penalty, but 75% on a contract that has no device and when I will no longer be receiving the service is not only ********* but doesn't make sense. I escalated the matter internally - my email was read however no response or acknowledgement.

09 Aug 2021, 19:09Thanks for a response but I am not sure what I should be looking at here. It doesn't address my grievance on the absurd nature of the penalty fee for a voice contract vs a contract which has device. I am also not seeing any quoted % what am I suppose to be looking at and how does it assist me?
