72 hours down, Priority 1-Critical, and still no one owns the problem
Three days without fibre. SR*** was logged on 18 May at 18:18, flagged Priority 1-Critical, and it's still open with no resolution in sight. Vodacom Fibre support has run me through the same troubleshooting script repeatedly — reboot the router, test the lines — despite knowing these steps haven't worked and won't. When pressed for an escalation contact, I was given nothing useful. The current explanation is that a Vumatel upgrade order is the cause. That may or may not be true. What isn't acceptable is using it as a reason to disengage. Vumatel doesn't answer emails. Their WhatsApp goes ignored. Call their support line and it simply drops dead. Vodacom's position appears to be: it's Vumatel's problem, so it's not ours. That's not how a service provider relationship works. Vodacom sold me this contract. Vodacom takes my debit order. Vodacom is responsible for ensuring the infrastructure partner they've chosen actually performs. Three days of lost connectivity — for a home that depends on it for work — with no timeline, no accountable person, and no meaningful update. If Vodacom can't manage Vumatel, they shouldn't be reselling on their network.Sonnet 4.6 Adaptive
