6 week delay in repairs, Vodacom.

I am really disappointed with Vodacom in Pavilion. I sent my phone in for repairs at the beginning of May. My phone is insured against damage. A few days later the repair shop sent me a quote for the repairs of R1,800. I call and tell that I am insured. So if I have anything to pay it'll be an excess fee. They say it's perfectly fine, they'll contact insurance and fix the phone.

Do they not keep me waiting for 3 weeks before telling me that I did not accept the repair fee, so the phone is not fixed, and I must pick it up. This is on the 31st of May now. I go directly to the repair shop in Kingsmead now to pick up and re-book the phone in. This time, I'm made to fill out an insurance claim form, which the Pavilion guys didn't even mention I needed to do.

It was meant to be a 7-day turnaround. I am there now, on the 14th of June, having not received feedback, and the phone is nowhere closer to being repaired than when I left it! They say I should call Vodacom insurance to find out what's happening with the claim. I dial the number, and they ask me to drop it. They'll sort it out and I must wait 2 hours. I can't drive home and back now. It's a Friday, and it is peak traffic. I don't even know if it will be fixed by the time they stipulated.
