6 months

My vodacom contract was nearing its 24months so I called vodacom to cancel. Retentions department offered me several types of deals to convince me to stay on and not cancel, finally I agreed reluctantly to the p8lite. It's been 3-4 weeks now and each time I phone the p8 lite is out of stock and vodacom is awaiting shipment. I have no phone in all this time so I called several times to please rather put me on prepaid as the back order is taking too long and I can't wait and be given different arrival dates by every consultant. Finally today a lady did the transfer to prepaid for me but said I can't take a new contract for 6months as I must stay on prepaid due to cancelling. This makes no sense as I cancelled nothing, what I did do is move to prepaid at the end of my 24 months. So if I want to start a new contract I have to wait 6 months, that should not happen as I just terminated my 24 months and vodacom cancelled a backorder due to their non delivery. I did not cancel any current contract as I'm not on one.
