5 stars for incompetence

I write this review with absolute irritation at the level of incompetence Vodacom staff at the Phoenix Plaza have.

My dad (and the account holder) passed away on 22 November 2019. The necessary documents were handed over to the Vodacom staff at the Phoenix Plaza shop on 09 December 2019, to ensure that Vodacom is aware of this and that the contract be cancelled as it was coming to an end in December 2019 regardless. We asked that the cellphone number then be made prepaid

We are now sitting with a situation where the account is in “arrears” and the cellphone number is blocked.

When we called the Phoenix Plaza store, they wanted to know information like “what was I wearing when I came to the store” as if that would help them locate the documents? They also promised to provide feedback since Monday (6th January 2020), but they have not to date.

The level of service is pathetic to say the least
