5 hours phoning to cancel unsolicited contract.

My mother was sold an unsolicited, misrepresented, unwanted contract by Mondo (phoned from ***). Mondo had all her details (including phone number, contract expiry date, age and delivery address). Obviously this information was supp**** by Vodacom. She was under the impression that she was phoned by Vodacom.

I have now been struggling for 5 hours to contact Vodacom to cancel this contract. I have been referred back and forth between three different departments, each time holding the line for a considerable time. When I finally get to somebody that seems as though they can help, I am told that the system is off line. A number of times somebody answered, but then the line was dropped. Interestingly, the rating system at the end of the calls also did not work.

Why is there not an e-mail address to which these requests can be sent with Vodacom following up?

I object to Vodacom making customer information available to third parties who use high pressure sales techniques and misrepresentation to fool a technically naive customer into signing up for unwanted contracts. The least Vodacom can do is make it easy to cancel these unwanted contracts!
