5 gig data package used to last for a month now only a week - making data package and connectivity effectively now 4 times more expensive

5 gig data package used to last for a month in 2016 and now only lasts a week. This is not obvious when you purchase the package (first came to my attention when I reviewed the SMS confirmations confirming that I had purchased the package) I now have to buy 4 data packages a month instead of 1 and the 5 gig data packages that I have bought this month now effectively make my data 4 times more expensive. There is inadequate warning for consumers about this change. This is monopolistic, anti-competitive, price manipulation, and again , the Competition Comission and consumer watchdogs should jump all over this. Again Vodacom is luring and entrapping consumers into a trap of usorious "out-of-bundle" rates. refer previous issue below: (overseas we are charged $2 per day for unlimited access - you know what you are getting.

Furthermore , it appears that I can no longer teather my Iphone to my PC to work on my Laptop using my 5 gig Vodacom bundle.

My previous issues with Vodacom's abusive use of its market position follow: (monopolistic, anti-competitive, price manipulation, and again , the Competition Comission and consumer watchdogs should act): "2. In finaince it is ******* to charge usurious interest rates , penalties above 35% per year. BUT for cell companies they can charge out of bundle rates of 30 times those in bundle and entrap, hoodwink users into paying R2 per meg (R2000 per gigabite instead of R79) This has to be ******* and unconstitutional and i hope someone challanges this in court soon."

Usurious Data charges levied incorrectly:

12.45pm, Sunday 3 Jul: Got a warning from Vodacom by SMS that my data bundle was running low, and immediately accepted Vodacom offer to purchase additional 1Gig data for R79. I received an SMS from Vodacom confirming that I had purchased 1 gig for R79.

~2pm, Sunday 3 Jul: Tried to log onto Vodacon4Me site to check my data utilisation - the Vodacom site was down ry again later¨

7am Monday 4 July: MAnaged to log on to Vodacon4Me site to check my data utilisation: No 1gb credit and R79 was not deducted from my account (even though I had received an SMS from Vodacom confirming the purchase). I Immediately purchased 5gig for R350. Charges were ãbout R350 for the month at Monday 7am.

Today I logged on and saw a bill for R2513 for data utilization on sunday afternoon 3 July 2016.

Complaints 1. Vodacom4Me web site was down on Sunday afternoon, and although I got an SMS confirmation from Vodacon, the data purchase was not processed causing out of bundle charges of R2513 (instead of R79).

2.
