4th device defective in under 2 years

Hi.

I am on a contract with Vodacom, and have been so for many years. With my latest contract period of around 18 months or so, I have had 4 devices and my current device is again faulty.

I am well aware of the process to repair this device as I have undergone this process a few times now. I have a simple request for Vodacom that cannot seem to be answered by anyone at the stores or on call. I would like to request that my current defective device is replaced with an upgraded device that will be more reliable. I am happy to pay the difference in contract value, however, am not happy to pay any cancellation fee, or continue to pay for a contract with this defective device any longer.

I have also discussed this matter with the Vodacom Insurers and they are unable to get involved in such matters.

Considering that I have an agreement with Vodacom to pay a contract that includes a device, and this device continues to malfunction, costing me time and money, I feel that Vodacom is in breach of this agreement and should be liable to rectify this recurring issue.

Many Thanks Steve

"Good day, Approval was done for the replacement unit of the same make/model. Kindly contact Repairs Escalations on ********** for further assistance as they are best equipped to assist with this. Regards, R. Maart" Nobody from Vodacom wishes to answer my request. I must now be forced to collect device number 5 from the repair centre. I am requesting a device upgrade. I no longer wish to use this defective device! How much time and money must I waste on this useless phone!
