I had a contract with vodacom and I was owing them for 6 to 8 months, so I was receiving statement every month with zero balance and I wrote them email to ask them about it cause I know I owe them, they phoned me and told me I owe R633,57. On the 12th I went to vodacom store to pay the money and I ask the cashier to check all the balances and she told me is 633.57,so I pay 634 to round it off, so to my surprise on the very same day late around 19:30 my phone had no network coverage and I switched it off and slept, the following day on the 13th my phone was not working the whole day and I phoned vodacom with my daughter phone to inquire about it, I spoke to the lady by the name of nqobile, she told me I canceled my contract the day I was paying and she also told me she's going to contact the contract company for assistance and she'll get back to me with feedback Today at 7 o'clock she did get back to me and to my surprise she told me I must pay 316. 80 to get my number back. My question here is how could vodacom cancel my account without my knowledge and why do I have to pay for my simcard cause all I did I took a contract and port my number to contract and I never cancel my contract. I want them to send me proof of cancelation cause even now I don't have a phone cause they 'decided ' to cancel my simcard, all I want is my number now am using my daughter's phone. I will never took a contract phone with vodacom ever again, taking a contract took away the number that I used since 2008.i took a contract without their Simcard.
