30 Days notice should go both ways
When I signed up with Vodacom I agreed to a 24 month term. Today I received a mail informing me that my contract will now increase before the expiration of my 24 months. (Just to mention in all my years this is a first)

Simply by giving me a month's notice Vodacom is under the impression that it is perfectly okay. I should also get the freedom to give them a 1 months notice. I do not see how their dealings are in accordance to the CPA.

Funny how the consumer are ALWAYS at the sort end of any business dealing. Companies like Vodacom hide behind 'WE RESERVE THE RIGHT\ and having T&C longer than your Bond Agreement who they know does not get read purely due to the length of the document. Vodacom don't you think you make enough money of us as it is? You really have to take EVEN MORE money each month.

It is time Government and the CPA stop companies like VODACOM for getting away with B/S like this by using the term 'We reserve the right'. That phrase should be banned from any and all contracts where consumers are penalised for exiting a contract that are no longer what they signed up for.

Go ahead Vodacom
