3 weeks no fibre
I honestly don’t know if the issue is Vodacom or Webafrica but neither of them are either the slightest bit helpful. I requested the wifi change in mid December (I relocated) to be activated on 2 January. I was not notified that a new box needed to be installed as my apartment already has a fibre box but apparently it needed a different one. I was only told about this last week (13 January), almost 2 weeks after I was expecting to have my wifi activated. They stated that they would come on Tuesday (19 January) but due to a mess up either with Vodacom or Webafrica they thought I was located in Durban instead of Cape Town. After over 3 hours trying to contact either one of them they set up for it to be installed today (21 December). From what was said on the website it seemed like all I needed to do was take my router with me, plug it in and I’d be good to go. I have literally been waiting 3 WEEKS to get my fibre up and running. At this rate it would have been easier and more efficient to just change providers. I’m so frustrated up by this entire process and lack of communication. I’ve spent an exorbitant amount of money on data and airtime because of this (both to use in place of the fibre and to try get hold of them!!). It is actually ridiculous. It’s 19 days after I expected my wifi to be working and I still have absolutely nothing.
