2x HP Celeron deal
I have been to four different vodacom 4u stores the past three weeks. None of them are helpful and say their systems show a different price to what the brochures do and they can't help me. Its a misprint. The one other store has emailed vodacom to query this and advised me I will get the deal at the brochure price. When i went there today nothing had been done as promised. Apparently on the system it shows the 2X HP Celeron deal for R849.00 but all the brochures advertise this deal for R749.00 (valid from 6 December 2017- 6 February 2018) What about the national consumers credit act? Or does this not count for Vodacom?
Act 4 Your right to disclosure of prices of goods and services Suppliers are required to display the prices of goods and services, in full view of consumers; Consumers have the right to request the unit cost of goods and services, so as to avoid any ‘hidden’ costs. Suppliers are required to specify the duration of any promotions in catalogues or brochures, failing which consumers have the right to purchase the goods or services at the specified prices. Consumers have the right to demand paying the lower price for goods displaying two varying prices – suppliers are not permitted to charge consumers the higher price for the same goods.
Nowhere in either of these stores does it say anything about a misprint or anything any customer can see on windows about it being a misprint,but this is the type of attitude one gets;
Email sent to me; Hi Maureen
This is Max from Vodacom4U Northgate and you are currently dealing with Sesethu in connection with 2 xHP Laptop deal for R749.00 which turned out to be a misprint apparently. However , we are experiencing a slight problem where the deal in system is quite the opposite and there was misprint which they not gonna held liable
The correct one is R849.00 and we proceed with everything.
Regards
Max
