24 month contract incorrected recorded by Vodacom as a 36 month contract
In November 2019, I bought the following items, on the same day: • a ZTE R218Z LTE + LENOVO CORE I3 BF on a 36-month contract • 2 Huawei P30 lite cellphones on a 24-month contract.
Vodacom recorded the 2 Huawei P30 lite cellphones on a 36-month contract. It was an error on their system and I had no way of knowing this.
Upon expiry of the Huawei P30 cellphone contract, I called Vodacom to cancel my contract. I was informed that it’s a 36 month contract. I know fully well that it’s a 24 month contract. The Vodacom agent I spoke to indicated that there was an error and the 24 month contract had been recorded as a 36 month contract. Vodacom officers confirmed the error and escalated the query on 23 November 2021 and nothing was done. I received no feedback from Vodacom I called the next day, the same thing happened, the matter was escalated and no feedback was provided I called the following day and the agent spoke to Vodacom shop at Mall of Africa where I bought the phones. Vodacom mall of Africa escalated the matter on 25 November 2021. Nothing happened and I was given no feedback
I called again on 27 November. Still waiting for a response.
