24 February 2026 – Vodacom Has Cut My Lines Again While a Formal Dispute Is Ongoing

24 February 2026 – Vodacom Has Cut My Lines Again While a Formal Dispute Is Ongoing Today, 24 February 2026, I woke up to my Vodacom lines being cut — again. This is while a billing dispute has been ongoing since June 2025. Despite: Continuous written complaints Public escalation on Facebook A HelloPeter complaint Escalation to the CEO’s Office Direct communication with Thato Makoti I have received: • No proper billing reconciliation • No updated, compliant statements • No written explanation resolving the October 2025 dispute • No substantive feedback addressing the credit approved on 26 August 2025 • No attempt to properly resolve this matter Yet Vodacom continues to suspend services. The Core Issue Vodacom Keeps Avoiding On 26 August 2025, a credit of approximately R5,200 was approved on my account. I was explicitly informed that this credit would cover: September 2025 October 2025 November 2025 Now, months later, Vodacom claims October 2025 was unpaid. That is either: A billing system failure, or A failure to apply the approved credit correctly. Instead of correcting this internal error, Vodacom repeatedly cuts my services. Cutting Services During an Ongoing Billing Dispute Since June 2025, I have been asking for proper billing and clarification. To date: I have not received a full reconciliation. I have not received a lawful, transparent breakdown addressing the credit allocation. I have not received a final written resolution from the CEO’s Office. Under South African consumer protection principles and regulatory standards applicable to telecommunications providers, suspending services while a billing dispute is actively under investigation is improper and potentially ********. Yet here we are — again. No resolution. No billing clarity. Just another service suspension. Pattern of Conduct This is not an isolated incident. Since June 2025: • Lines have been restricted repeatedly while disputes were pending. • I have been forced to make payments under pressure simply to restore services. • Vodacom has provided contradictory information through different agents. • Public responses have contained factual inaccuracies. • Written communication has been ignored for extended periods. This demonstrates systemic administrative failure. CEO Office Involvement Has Not Resolved the Matter Even after escalation to the CEO’s Office, the latest communication merely repeated outdated information and failed to address the central billing discrepancy. Now, instead of resolving the matter, Vodacom has once again chosen to cut services. This conduct reflects: Failure of administrative competence Breach of contractual good faith Failure of fair billing practice Disregard for ongoing dispute procedures My Position I have attempted internal resolution for eight months. Vodacom has had ample opportunity to correct its systems, reconcile the account, and communicate transparently. Instead, they continue suspending services without properly resolving the billing dispute. This pattern is unacceptable. Vodacom: provide a full written reconciliation of my account from June 2025 to date, explain the misapplication of the August 2025 credit, and confirm the immediate restoration of services. If this continues, I will proceed with formal regulatory escalation. This matter is no longer about a balance. It is about systemic failure and ******** service suspension during an active dispute. Enough is enough.
