2 weeks later and vodacom still cannot provide proper answers as i have to hear different stories from every agent i get in contact with
I paid up an account that was at Vodacom legal collections department(MJB) on the 28/07/2022. I received a paid up in full letter on the 30/07/2022. Vodacom Updated the status on the credit register from Default status to Active Status. When i tried to follow up regarding if the status was updated on Vodacom side and why it was changed to active last week Monday 01/08/2022 i was told via an automated email response that i will receive a call within 24hours. No calls received on the 02/08/2022 at 19:15 i app**** for a contract just to get a call back only on the 04/08/2022, When questioned regarding why the status on the credit register was changed to active and the account not being removed as the account was paid up i had to be told 2 different stories - agent tells me that they cannot disclose it to me as well as they cannot tell me what was the account that blocked me on the contact application due to the Poppi act, but i am the client in whos name the account was. The Facebook agent still could not answer me properly about the contract and what account blocked it all they could tell me is that my already paid up account is being dealt with by the legal collections team. I spoke to them on Friday 05/08/2022 and they stated they will follow up and then this morning told me it is sorted. When i questioned vodacom again i was told that its not sorted and should give some time for status update. Now i still do not have an update as to the active status, i have a possible negative impact now on my credit score due to me trying to get hold of vodacom that i had to apply for a contract just to get a call back and then also i was told by their legal collections as well as another agent that should i try and apply that vodacom would look at the credit if my previous account and then possibly consider approval on a new contract since the old account has been paid up.
