10 reasons why NOT to have Vodacom as you SERVICE provider!!!!

i had 2 cellphones under my contractual account with vodacom and opted to cancel one in order to keep it on prepaid. i contacted vodacom and requested they cancel the one cellphone account at the end of its 24 month contract. i was advised it might be better if i go into a store to do so. on this advice i took time out of my day, drove to the mall and personally cancelled the contract for this particular cellphone. 1] my request was never adhered to and in fact was flat out ignored. 2] i called in to try to resolve it multiple times and still did not come right 3] i ask to speak to a supervisor but am told they are in a meeting (this is every single time - apparently supervisors only have meeting and dont care about client concerns or wellbeing - or in fact their own consultants well beings?) or perhaps they are in meeting constantly discussing the ridiculous service without doing anything about it. 4] on going up the standard business chain of command i asked to speak to a manager only to be advised (on several occasions) that Managers DO NOT TAKE CALLS?!?!?!?!?!?! - i would love to know what they do exactly if they are not managing their staff and irate client concerns.

because i am stubborn i decided to hold untill i did speak to a manager... this leads to 5 5] i went BACKWARDS - i was transferred by a supervisor to ageneral consultant in a different division/department..??? either the supervisor had no common sense or realised they are underqualified and requested a demotion? but regardless you can imagine my frustration!

again being agrevated and stubborn i demanded to speak to a manager...

6] i waiting 57 minutes on hold before a manager finally came to the phone... 57 minutes of listening to ****py hold music... imaging this is only fristrating irate clients more but it doesnt seem to bother vodacom. 7] after finally seeming to have my matter resolved, i requested the voice recording be sent to me within 7 days (fully aware that it is my right to request it and have it supp**** to me within 7 days) TILL TODAY I HAVE STILL NOT RECEVED SAID REQUESTED VOICE RECORDING and as such i have been forced to approach the Ombudsman with regards to the matter 8] - after all of this can you believe it... they debited my accoutn AGAIN!!! for the cellphone account cancelled months earlier.

9] i requested a refund immediately and called in 5 days later only to be told they cannot see a new request for a second refund.

The Complete lack of service and sheer ignorance when it comes to treating customers fairly absolutely blows my mind. ignoring requests, lying to clients, not delivering on promises and debiting unauthorized amounts from accounts.

sadly i had nothing to compare this to at the time so i took it that this was normal. as it stands and in my personal experience, my opinion now stands - i would not recommend anyone take out a contract with vodacom if you EVER consider changing or leaving them.

and lastly...

10] several times the line was transferred only to disconnect or take my to the autiomated 'rate our service' system - evidently this isd a waste of time since no body monitors this system and it is only in place to present a facade that they actually give 2 hoots about their clientele.

i am bound for another 8 months on my remaining contract but if experience is anything to go by, when i request this be cancelled i expect to be typing a similar mail yet again.

# frustrated that service means nothing anymore. #annoyed that no-one takes pride in delivering god service anymore.

TCF is non existent in Vodacom.
