⭐ 1-Star Review: Extremely Disappointed in Vodacom Fibre’s Service and Accountability
I cancelled my Vodacom Fibre contract at the end of September and was told it would take effect after a full calendar month — meaning 31 October. I accepted that.
On 3 October, Vodacom confirmed my cancellation, so I signed up with MWEB. But when Octotel (the infrastructure provider) tried to activate my new service, they said Vodacom had set the line release date for 21 November — something I never agreed to or was told about.
When I called Vodacom, I was told everything was “fine for 1 November.” Yet now, on 5 November, nothing has been released and Octotel still shows the line as pending until 21 November. I’ve been passed between Vodacom and Octotel with no accountability, no follow-up, and no proof that Vodacom is even trying to fix their mistake.
I’ve already paid MWEB, but can’t use the service because Vodacom won’t release the line they promised to cancel. This is exactly why I left — Vodacom Fibre has poor communication, no ownership, and zero urgency to resolve issues.
Deeply disappointed. All I asked for was honesty and proper service — neither was given.
