1. Over R3000 content service fee to be debited from my account in a couple of days with no response from WASP, 2. Account soft-locks the whole time

I had a 2GB data contract and recently migrated to a 5GB contract. During the first month that this new contract was active I noticed by accident that the 'bill so far' was R5346 and mainly due to 'content services'. I didn't even know what that was so I contacted Vodacom and they said it was subscriptions.

They could very easily see the subscribtions and just as easily cancel them, but when it came to doing anything else they can't help. Firstly, I never agreed to these subscriptions, I wasn't even aware of them. Why does Vodacom allow them to add to my account without my concent? We were given a number to phone, which we did and it's basically a dead end. Eventually we found someone at Vodacom that was a bit more willing to go the extra mile and she wrote this very touching letter to some very important company, very humbly asking that the charges be dropped. And now we have to wait for a response, but in the meanwhile we still need to pay the R5000 and then afterwards we can request a refund, which we may or may not get. This is unacceptable. It's been almost a month now with no response. Obviously we won't get a refund after we pay the R5000. This feels so ******** and there must be something more I can do?

Another seperate problem on this same account is the fact that it soft-locks the whole time. Turns out I was on an open contract when I explicitly asked for a 5GB data contract with a cap so that the data switches off when it reaches 5GB. Why is this so difficult to understand?? Instead the guy put me on an open contract with no limit. VODACOM - TRAIN YOUR STAFF BETTER. After seeing the R5000 charge I realized something was wrong and since then I had to go to Vodacom a couple of times just to hear something different each time. - The first attemp was by one of the staff who was clicking away with the account limit settings, telling me that the minimum was a R100 limit. Why was I able to have a cap on my previous contract then???

- The second attemp was when he called a slightly better trained person to help. This guy suggested that I migrate to a top-up, which aparently can't go over the monthly fee. When I opened my 2GB contract a while back that person told me that I could have a cap on the data, but then I would lose my night owl data. This was fine and the contract worked perfectly. Now, no one knows what I'm talking about, they say the top-up will do the trick, but I still have my night owl data... Is there actually a cap on my data now and who was/is lying to me then???

- The combination of fiddling with the limits and migrating the contract has caused the account to soft-lock the whole time. I have gone to Vodacom to unlock it and then the next day it's just locked again. This morning I phone the Brooklyn branch to have it unlocked and the guy told me that they can't do that over the phone... REALLY, you want me to go in every single day??? So I called the Centurion branch and they had no problem helping. Why are there so many inconsistencies? VODACOM, TRAIN YOUR STAFF BETTER. But no one can fix the problem...
