*** - ONLY Cancellation contact Number constantly engaged

I have two numbers with Vodacom. The one is a Vodacom number and the other is a previous CellC number, ported to Vodacom. Both numbers were on contract, meaning that we got handsets as well. Both contracts have expired and the debit order is still continuing, so I get airtime for both numbers, monthly.

FIRST ISSUES:

During the two years of the contract period, I started experiencing problems with the ported CellC number. Phone calls to me would go straight to voice mail. The first time I experienced this, it was sorted out for a while and then the issue returned. This time they could not fix it.

So I decided to get a new Vodacom number and make the ported CellC number prepaid.

Hence the reason for me going to the Vodacom customer service shop in Tyger Valley Mall.

I completed all the relevant documentation to apply for a new contract AND TO MAKE THE MENTIONED NUMBER PREPAID.

SECOND ISSUE:

To date this has not happened. When I went into the same store the second week in January this year, I was told that they cannot do cancellations in the store anymore, and that I must phone ********** .

IT IS THE 19th OF JANUARY NOW AND I CANNOT GET THROUGH TO THIS NUMBER.

In the meantime, the debit order on my account is going to go through again.

There is NO OTHER WAY TO CONTACT THE PEOPLE THAT MUST DEAL WITH CANCELLATIONS. no email address, nowhere on the website where one can send them your information so that they can get hold of you. NOTHING. Just this number.

How on earth can a company like Vodacom with so many customers operate like this? I cannot even imagine how many other customers must be experiencing the same problem. It is totally unexceptable from a customers point of view. I know this because I work at a big insurance company where customers come first.

How long would they just continue to ignore my request?

Purely for this reason I will definitely move to another service provider with better customer service support.
