Disgusted with VitalAire
Failure on the part of VitalAire to repair my moms Air Sep Free Style machine despite us reporting it to our homecare advisor within the warranty date. She escalated the problem and was told not to assist us by the repairs manager. My mom's illness kept her mostly homebound with my dad having to look after her, he too was unable to travel and with no portable air system she could not travel. When my dad did manage to get to the Bedfordview office, they told him they wouldn't fix it as it was out of warranty!!! And it would be at his own expense, as a pensioner he has no money to repair. My mom was gravely ill at the time and in fact died on the 8th January 2015. Her machine not being repaired kept her homebound until her death.

The service we received was disgusting. In our situation where oxygen was needed 24/7 we re**** on this \poor\" service, at times waiting up to 4 days for a refill to our cylinder. This was during power cuts and Load Shedding. This naturally added excessive stress on us all as my mom could not be without Oxygen.

My Dad has a full detailed report which he is sending to Discovery Health, The Department of Health and Hospice.
"
