No visa appointment made. No refund.
BEWARE!! We used Visas Unlimited to help with our visa application for a trip coming up as we couldn't get an appointment directly through vfs. We even tried getting an appointment in Durban but were told it wasn't allowed. This agency promised they had earlier bookings available and we would pay for their services in assisting us with all documentation and for an earlier appointment. All correspondence said... appointment confirmation etc. I was the called the day before to say it could take 4 hours. When I asked why as we had an appointment, the answer I received was.... they very busy. So the lady arranged her representative to get there an hour early to hopefully speed up the process as I honestly couldn't take Zo out of school for the whole day. Visa application day arrived. We get there early, no representative. NO APPOINTMENT WAS MADE FOR US. When I called the agency she said that they don't have earlier appointments that they had made arrangements for us to be squeezed in. This was the first I had heard of this. Low and behold, panic set in, emotions ran high and we were almost turned away. I burst into tears. We have waited a month for this appointment and risk missing our trip. The ladies kindly assisted us as walk ins. Now when I said we paid for priority appointment, priority lounge fees, service fees, lodgement fees etc it was a healthy sum. The representative finally arrived 1.5 hours late and wanted to pay for our applications as we had already paid the agency for this. We denied as we had since found out that they inflated the visa fee by R600 each. Paying directly to vfs would save us that at least. We received no services we paid for. No assistance, no appointment and no priority. Fast forward to getting our refund.... we have been refunded 10% of what we paid this agency. Our emails go unanswered. Frustrated to say the least. Thinking a ***** case and small claims should be in order. On the plus side. We got our visas.VISAS BEWARE!!!!
