Contradicting policy schedule and staff training
I cancelled all my cover from Virseker on 15 Feb 2023 which included motor, building, home contents and 2 value added policies. The motor/home/building was confirmed to be cancelled on 28 Feb. The 2 VAP policies was cancelled on the spot on 15 Feb.
To my surprise on 26 Feb a payment went through for the 2 VAP. I enquired regarding this and the first time I got to the call center the operator informed me that VAP is paid at the end of the month for the previous month and offered to send me policy schedules which I declined. I then managed to find my original schedules for both VAP and both of them clearly states payment is in advance. "moet vooruit betaal word" wording in the schedule and "premie maandeliks vooruit betaal" in the other document
I again enquired seeing now I had my facts in a line and once again the call center operator informed me that they have been trained that the payments are made in arrears and said that the system could not give him access to documents proving that or counter what I have in writing from Virseker
I was promised a call back from a manager but seems that it will not happen
My payment was deducted wrongfully and although its not a huge amount it is a matter of principal. I am bemused that I have official documents which contradicts what they train their staff to tell their clients. It just seem ********* and wrong
