Sim Deactivation
I received an sms from Virgin Mobile today informing me that my sim would be deactivated in 2 days and that I must contact customer care to port my sim/number. It's impossible to get hold of anyone at customer care, I have sent an email requesting my number be ported but I have no idea where I'm going to be ported to or if there is any cost involved AND is my sim going to be ported in time???? Am I going to be sitting with a deactivated sim in 2 days time??? Why does Virgin Mobile wait until the last minute to inform me??? Why wasn't I informed of this timeously??? I have been holding on now for 25 minutes trying to speak to somebody with no luck.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, it was certainly not our intention for this sudden change to happen.
You can visit any network provider of your choice. Please take your ID and proof of residence no older then 3 months for rica. They will provide you with a new sim card and the network provider must submit a port in request at no cost.
Port takes 24 to 48 working hours however we will release the number as soon as we get the port request.
Sincerely,
Refilwe
