I want my recycled number back!

I've just returned from the UK after working abroad for two years. When I tried to get my Sim card to work I was told that it was recycled as it was inactive for more than three months. This is just so inconvenient.

I came to visit nine months after leaving SA and my number worked. So why was it recycled now?!

I've been a loyal Virgin mobile customer for eight years and had the same number the whole time!

When trying to phone my number it says it does not exist so it's not been allocated to someone else.

I just want it back!!

Hi minette-cloete,

Thank you for your post.

We are unable to provide the same number back to you as it has been recycled. There has been no usage or recharges on the line for more than 90 days which resulted in the line being terminated.

Should you wish to continue using Virgin Mobile, you will need purchase and Rica a new Virgin Mobile sim card.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards

Alicia
