EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED AND DISSAPPOINTED CUSTOMER
I upgraded my contract on or about July 2015 so I know that my phone is still under warranty. I logged in a fault with Virgin Mobile on the 14 January 2016. I explained to the consultant about the problem I was having and I know that all my details are in front of them when speaking to a customer. The consultant advised me that my phone will be picked up within 3 to 5 working days but if the phone is not a manufacturing fault then they will quote me for the repairs. It was picked up on the 18 January 2016. I received an sms on the 26 January quoting me a cost of R333,00 and a consultant was gonna call me. I called the call centre today to find out wat was wrong with my phone . Consultant advised me that the battery will have to be replaced. Now when I was upgrading my contract, I was not advised that my phone warranty is 24 months however the battery warranty is 6 months. An also when I was calling for my phone to be picked up I was not advised that if I wanted my phone back because I cannot pay for the repairs, that I was now suppose to pay R188,00 for release of my phone. I am paying a contract but I must must pay for assessing my phone and then repair it myself.
