Excellent service all-round

My wife and I used Virgin for our rare and special trip abroad for our 25th anniversary. At every juncture, Virgin Atlantic provided service which, to South Africans, was a bliss and a balm to the soul. Here are some examples: We were given a choice of gifts on the plane to remember our trip by, because of the anniversary. At Heathrow on the way back, we could not find seats next to each other. The counter called the manager, who arranged for us to get the emergency exit row seats that were available for special paying customers. We were not asked to pay extra because it was the only adjacent seats they had left for a married couple. Those emergency exit seats are brilliant, but foreign to us because everything works differently. The closest air hostess took us under her wing, making us comfortable all the way. Because it is next to the toilet, we saw how frequently she went in there to personally ensure it stays perfect despite the constant stream of users on a very full flight. Not used to international traveling, some new aspects of electronic booking in etc were strange to us. At every occasion a smiling Virgin Atlantic assistant appeared out of nowhere to help. Finally, we spent more than a hundred hours on airports and in planes on this trip, all of it made special by VA. The in-flight meals and snacks were also excellent every time! The downside is that we now fear the next time we have to use local traveling services in South Africa, they are a horror story compared to Virgin Atlantic.
