Cancelled Flight Huge inconvenience

Flight VS 601 from Heathrow T3 to JHB, 20 July. Boarded late. Sat on board for 4 hours. Captain regularly provided meaningless updates. At 01:15, the captain goes home, leaving ground staff to disembark passengers. Chaos ensues. Clearly there is no plan, no training, no communication, no common sense. Uselessness at its absolute worst. We are hoarded through T3 and customs. No questions about who might need medical attention, no preferred treatment for old, infirm, moms with kiddies or sick. No one in charge and no one takes charge. Can someone tell Sir Richard Branson to stop canoodling hostesses and get his airline up to scratch. Shameful, standard, English ***ardice and denial clearly pervades this airline.
