Vida e caffe at 3 Arts mall Cape Town

I had a horrible ordeal with the assistant manager of this store. I ordered two hot drinks and realized that I do not have my card with me. At the till point I informed the assistant manager that I want to pay with SnapScan he said he cannot do that but will try and see if it works.

I tried with SnapScan, but there was an error, due to this incident I told him that I won’t be able to pay for the drinks anymore because I don’t have my card with me. He throw a fit tell me that I cannot do that, as a consumer do I not have a right to cancel a order that I am not able to pay, hence the fact that he did not start with the drinks yet. He informed me that it is unfair to him that I have to cancel my order and told me as a customer I am not allowed to cancel an order.

Vida e, we are in the 21st century… keep up with technology and according to the consumer protection act, I am allowed to cancel and refuse to pay for something that does not meet up to my expectations. I would advise people not to go to this store.
