Refurbished Cafe a real no no!

Visited the refurbished Vida cafe Constantia Village this morning to redeem our free vouchers from registering for the new app. Decided to sit inside as it was a little chilly outside. Noise level inside was deafening both from the staff behind the counter and some of the customers sitting at tables. I thought we had moved away from the ridiculous practice where the staff shout out the orders as loudly as possible whilst processing the orders, evidently not! We decided to move outside but it was just as noisy. We eventually gave up and left in disgust. It is quite apparent the designers of the new look did not consider the fact that the materials they chose for the decor would create a room that accentuated noise 10 fold! What a disaster. Decor is supposed to surpress noise. Eventually went back to redeem my free coffee as a takeaway. Told the lady behind the counter I wanted a solo cappuccino using my free voucher. Then tried to scan the code without success. Tried numerous options she suggested but kept wanting to charge me. Eventually manager got involved and found she had rung up a mucho instead of a solo. Probably because it was so noisy she couldn’t hear what i had said. Could not get out of the place quick enough. A thoroughly bad experience all round.
