Demands for multiple tips in exchange for coffee

On Sunday I went to Vida for a coffee before catching my flight. After ordering I gave a tip in the tip collection after he pointedly put my change next to it (with none of the usual entertaining acknowledgement by staff) then waited for my latte. When the latte was ready the barista pushed the cup forward with a chocolate on top keeping his hand over them so I couldn't take it & pointed at a saucer in front of him saying \I haven't had lunch yet
