V&A Waterfront not complying to COVID-19 protocols

My family & I visited the V&A Waterfront on the 4th of October 2020 for the first time since the start of lockdown. Being the law abiding citizens we wore out masks & comp**** to the Government’s Disaster Management Regulations on Covid-19. I was appalled to see people walking into the V&A without masks , some wearing them on their necks with out any conscience. Security guards were visible at entrances and inside the centre but they are just standing there and not enforcing the wearing of masks; unless it is not their duty to do so. My family didn’t feel safe ; and I thought of telling the people to put their masks but I had to restrain myself to avoid arguments that could turn ugly. What was worse is to see a customer inside Sunglass Hut not wearing a mask at all and not even a sign that he had one. We decided not to go in, the staff of the shop carried on as business as usual helping the customer with no mask. Now this is is absolutely unacceptable and irresponsible. We can see what is happening abroad with 2nd wave, people dying & countries going back to lockdown. How do you attract tourists to SA when you can’t keep them safe? I emailed the V&A Waterfront asking them about their COVID-19 protocols but have not received any feedback. I am staying away from the V&A.
