Shocking service response after food poisoning at Tiger’s Milk Waterfront
It is with much regret that I give this establishment a negative review.
My son got violently ill after eating a chicken burger at this venue. He had to have an emergency doctors appointment and undergo treatment not only for the reaction to the food but also for the shock response his body went into from the food poisoning.
I contacted the manager on duty the day following the incident to inform of what had happened. I was informed by the manager to send an email with details of the experience, including issuing supporting doctors records. This I did straight away. I waited two days with no response - I called to follow up. It bothered me that no one took the time to even acknowledge receipt of the REQUESTED email. It feels this request was nothing but a delay tactic.
After the follow up ( which was later of factly) I finally received a call back from the regional manager who wasn’t very forth coming, empathetic or very intersted. Just from his tone and telephonic manners I could tell he wasn’t going to take responsibility.
He told me that they have strict kitchen policies, especially when it involves protein & meats. I am sure they do and I am certain a food reaction from a chicken burger isn’t the normal, but it happened.
He suggested he would look into it and come back to me. I am still waiting, it’s been over a week already.
Everyone is very silent so I called to follow up again this week, and no answers.
To me it feels and looks like one returns communication, no one assumes responsibility, no one has even extended an apology for what transpired from a meal at said establishment.
I have found the disinterest in client feedback, and their overall customer service nothing short of shocking.
Sadly I will not be a) returning nor b) recommending this establishment ever again.
Because I work in the service & tourism industry I find it my duty to inform people of the service this establishment aligns to.
