Greed over ethics and compassion - Fireworks should be banned!!

Disgusted the V&A Waterfront thinks a firework display is acceptable practice in today's society. Cape Town has just suffered great loss to their already endangered wildlife due to extensive fires. V&A Waterfront, do you honestly think fireworks are appropriate, let alone ethical or a humane act? "Just 5 minutes", it is torture for wildlife, pet companions and protected species...right at your doorstep. Other countries have opted for humane, safe and ethical celebrations that take conservation, animal welfare and human needs into account. Seeing you are throwing so much money away with "just 5 minutes", you could have opted for more inclusion and used the funds in away that does no harm. Pity your marketing team cares less. One can only hope it pours with rain or cancel culture holds you accountable. One just has to look at your Facebook page to see what the majority of Cape Town public thinks of you going ahead with your fireworks spectacle... Disgusted!
