Non-existent customer service
Absoluut pathetic customer service. No one hets back to you, hold on the line for someone to answer for ages. They still deduct funds fromy pension pay out, but no one's even got a damn decency to respond/reply to an email. You owe me money and I'm not getting any feedback from you? If I do not receive any feedback soon or my money that you idiots owe me, I will take this further with my lawyer.

Non-existent customer service
Absoluut pathetic customer service. No one hets back to you, hold on the line for someone to answer for ages. They still deduct funds fromy pension pay out, but no one's even got a damn decency to respond/reply to an email. You owe me money and I'm not getting any feedback from you? If I do not receive any feedback soon or my money that you idiots owe me, I will take this further with my lawyer.

Pathetic pension administrators
Verso Financial services are pathetic. These are supposed pension administrators used by city of Cape Town.Verso employees are off sick more than anything and the protocols and procedures related to people that have served communities for decades are overlooked and treated like nothing. My father is distressed after 40 years of service, and has been waiting for 3 months with lame excuses where employees are off sick every week. No one else in sight to assist a customer.

Pathetic pension administrators
Verso Financial services are pathetic. These are supposed pension administrators used by city of Cape Town.Verso employees are off sick more than anything and the protocols and procedures related to people that have served communities for decades are overlooked and treated like nothing. My father is distressed after 40 years of service, and has been waiting for 3 months with lame excuses where employees are off sick every week. No one else in sight to assist a customer.

40 Years of Service Rewarded with Disgraceful Pension Administration
After dedicating 40 years of service, I never expected my retirement to be overshadowed by such a disappointing experience. My dealings with Verso Financial Services, the administrator of the City of Cape Town pension fund, have been nothing short of frustrating. Communication is virtually non-existent. Emails and queries are ignored, follow-ups go unanswered, and there appears to be little urgency or accountability when dealing with pensioners who rely on timely assistance. Compared with other pension administrators I have dealt with, the level of service has been exceptionally poor. Retirees deserve respect, transparency, and prompt responses—not silence. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering using this service. A pension fund administrator should provide confidence and support during retirement, but unfortunately, that has not been my experience with Verso Financial Services. I sincerely hope the company takes these concerns seriously and makes significant improvements to its customer service and communication.

Long overdue claim
My father passed away in 2010, and we received a letter from Verso financial services on 2022 June to submit a claim. We waited until today, when we follow up there's nothing tangible they are sending us from pillar to post. It's tiring 😫

TAKE THEM TO LABOUR LAW AND THE OMBUDSMAN
Why isn’t this company being investigated with so many complaints on here about them it’s like the complaints never stop , that’s what I would like to know, and why hasn’t anyone taken them further with labour law or the ombudsman man because they are full of lies and apologies and nothing gets done, they don’t want to pay out peoples provident funds always have stories why are they withholding it for what??????

Verso does not even deserve a star. They are unprofessional and rude. I have been calling about my payout for weeks now. I spoke to Janine, Lizzette, Nicolene, and almost everyone at that company, and each one of them has a new story. All I honestly want is my money, not their rude and unprofessional responses. They do not even respond to emails. This is really disgusting and to see that I am not the only one they are trying to **** is repulsing. I wish companies NEVER make use of their services ever again.

Utterly shattered
Hi utterly dissappointed!!! I would like to express my dissappointed with the Financial Service Prodiver as my previous work pension fund. In December i was starting a new job which uses a different fund,so i decided i want to withdraw my funds and start from scratch with the new company i joined. Filled in neccessary forms and submitted on the 19th Dec 2025 and was told all is well and will be paid in 8-10wk. After the 8wks i enquired and i got a very rude email saying i can only enquire 10wks not prior.After 10wks still nothing so i called and was taken from there to there eventually in hopes i give up but of course not i need the money so eventually spoke to someone who confirmed my “withdrawal submission” valid and told be they still processing and it’ll take 2-3wks from the 10wks of been waiting I was dissappointed but had no choice🤷🏽♀️ Currently at 3wks and nothing on my account also no formal communication of anything. Im not only dissappointed but very hurt at their conduct of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been emailing them the whole of last week to find out what’s happening with my payout and no response from them. I was told 4-8 weeks to receive my payout were as I am still waiting my one work colleague waited 5 months for her payout what bad service is this, it’s your money not there’s what is the hold up because other provident/pension fund companies pay out in 3 weeks what wrong with this company a fly by night company!!!!!!!!! Good at taking peoples money and bad at paying them out what a useless company no lie
