A dump called vericred

vericred recently added a default on my name for an account that was paid up in April 2022. I disputed the default and was told to contact the credit provider. to my knowledge if a consumer disputes an account through the credit bureau, that bureau has to dispute the account with the credit provider on behalf of the consumer. Well vericred don't work that way. I disputed the account with the settlement letter for the second time and also made it clear that after 30 days with no positive feedback, I will contact the Ombud. They obviously didn't care as it is now more than 60 days with no feedback. This bureau is horrible at dealing with people's well-being. I did have disputes before with other bureaus, the service was exceptional. This dump they call a bureau and all the credit providers that actually trust them with information should be banned from even looking at a person's credit record. Pathetic.

Good day,

You have logged 3 disputes with us for the DMC account all with the incorrect paid up letters. The letter that you have provided us with is for a closed account and we will not dispute one account with another accounts paid up letter.

The newest dispute that you have logged for DMC has no paid up letter.

The employer information that you have disputed is already reflected on your credit report as submitted by your credit providers.

You are more than welcome to contact the ombudsman for assistance if you are struggeling to get the correct paid up letter to us.

There was only one account that I had with DMC. The settlement letter that I provided 3 times was for the paid-up account. The reason I continued sending it was because there is an opened account on my credit profile that does not exist or does not belong to me. There is obviously no settlement letter for an account that I don't have or never had. Why does vericred find it difficult to contact credit providers to get the necessary info to remove listings? It will only be done by a consumer's paid-up letter. Is this company a registered credit bureau? Its weird how impossible it's to deal directly with a credit provider like all other professional credit bureaus do. AGAIN PATHETIC!

Unfortunately if you dispute an account as paid up and submitting a paid up letter which is incorrect we will ask you for the correct one. The last one that you have logged after you have left the review seems like the correct one as you were choosing account paid up and account duplicated before actually choosing the option that you want to use for the account. So to avoid having to go back and forth with us next time choose the correct option and provide us with the correct documents matching that option and you will have no issues disputing accounts with us.

I am not a praying man, but to never have to deal with this credit bureau again, I will make an exception.
