Rude and Aggressive service and INCORRECT INFORMATION

A certain Mr Fortuin always gives my cell number when he does business and he is a serial defaulter. The companies then give him over to a debt-collecting agancy who start hounding me. Despite my calls to Ver-Tex, I still receive aggressive and threatening SMS's etc for outstanding money. I call Ver-Tex and ask them to check phone numbers or detaisl of whom they are talking to, in this case passed on to them by Capitec bank - but to no avail. My requests to speak to a manager were summarily denied by very rude customer care people. yet again a promise was made to remove my number from their system, but my question is, DO THESE PEOPLE NOT GOOGLE-SEARCH AN ID NUMBER OR A PHINE NUMBER BEFORE SENDING AGGRESSIVE DEMANDS FOR MONEY? And when the error of their information is pointed out, can they not just apologise and IMMEDIATELY remove your details from their system?

pretty unimpressed with Capitec too for not checking a Cell number before giving it out to a debt collecting agency.
